《衝上雲霄》Triumph in the Skies (2003)

everyone seems to be re-watching this on tumblr… i guess to prepare for the epic squeal of 衝上雲霄 II… CAN NO WAIT! this one of the most memorable dramas i have watched, and of course the theme song 歲月如歌 by Eason Chan is close to heart <3 i still remember staying up super late to watch this when i was 14…. i downloaded it during either summer break or winter break… i remember this because I stayed up till 7AM for a few nights straight and watching 5-8 episode a night… and of course rewatched it shortly when it played on local Chinese channel (fairchild)

I am still hesitant of re-watching this again because *Spoiler ALERT - in case you have never watched the first one (which i HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU DO)* I remember the sad death of Bell’s husband near the end, and then she went crazy… that whole part made me so depressed… i remember crying and getting super sad… I am the type of person that doesn’t like to handle sad stories (hence that’s why all my all time fav dramas are cute romantic comedies)… sad stories that are close to home or “real life” is too real? if that makes sense…(so dramas that takes place in a different era doesn’t count)  in 2003, i was only 14 years old… maybe it wouldn’t be too bad now?

This show contained so many of my favorite actors~ including 陳慧珊 Flora San, 吳卓羲 Ron Ng, 陳鍵鋒 Sammul Chan, 黃宗澤 Bosco Wong, 馬國明 Kenneth Ma… etc etc… :) I miss 陳鍵鋒so much.. he was one of my all time favorites before he left TVB.. :(

OH and big thing was, this was the show that made me hate 胡杏兒 myolie… because of the annoying roles she always play… but i slowly started to change my mind about her as she did played different roles over the years, and eventually loved her in 怒火街頭 :)  (i also hated 葉璇.. but thats a whole other story) OKAY anyway… off topic!

I am most likely going to rewatch this sometime in the next month or two when i get the time… so maybe will update about that later on :)

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO WATCH THIS DRAMA IF YOU HAVE NOT BEFORE! AND PREPARE YOURSELF FOR THE EPIC SQUEAL :)
